Open Air Crusades at Kiandutu, Thika's Slum Village

We again went to Kiandutu, the place we minstered at the first and second years ('04 and '05) we came to Kenya. This is the place where the woman was healed of her tumors growing out of her stomach, another man was averted from suicide, Matt Yoder suffered effects of malaria pills during church service under a low tin roof and a hot sun (and later moved to another place - just ask him), and where Dan Bontrager was chased by a demoniac with a knife.

It is a village on 10 acres and is home to over 50,000 people. They live in homes that I have never seen chickens or pigs live in America. Oh the plight of the people!

I preached the first/Thursday night and then we let the team take over after that as we stayed behind to minister the next nights at Leaders Alive - Kenya. Steve preached the second night, Don the third, and Wayne the fourth/last night. There was a witch doctor that tried to break up the service on Friday evening but we thank God that the Lamb prevails again!

Many lives came to Christ and recomittments made. An epileptic woman was healed, and many children were ministered to. I regret that I don't have more pictures, but we weren't there very much - only the first and last nights! Perhaps the rest of the team will send me photos that I can upload.

The Children dancing at the start of the session!

Pastor Munyau, pastor of CCI Kiandutu, calling the people together in the early evening!
